Cyclophatnus flavus Cameron 1910 ( Fig. 2 ) Current combination. Gyroneuron flavum ( Cameron 1910 ) new combination ( Braconidae : Rogadinae ). Gyroneuron testaceator Watanabe 1934 : new synonymy Material examined. Cyclophatnus flavus holotype , NHMUK , Darjeeling, India : ‘Danjiling [sic]’; ‘ Cyclophatnus flavus Cam. Darjiling’; ‘P. Cameron (1910) described the genus Cyclophatnus and its one included species, Cyclophatnus flavus , in the Macrocentrinae and it has remained classified as such ever since. Somebody had added the name Gyroneuron above Cyclophatnus in the NHMUK collection and I can confirm that the holotype of Cyclophatnus flavus (3c.1821, NHMUK 010634938; Fig. 2 ) is a species of Gyroneuron , of the subfamily Rogadinae . Gyroneuron Kokujev = Cyclophatnus Cameron , syn. nov. ; Gyroneuron flavum (Cameron) is a new combination . I was able to compare the specimen with photographs of the holotype of Gyroneuron testaceator Watanabe 1934 in SDEI , one of only two previously described species of Gyroneuron , and they appear to be conspecific, so G. testaceator is a junior synonym of G. flavum , syn. nov. Gyroneuron flavum has a wide range, over China , India (type locality of Cyclophatnus flavus ), Taiwan and Vietnam ( Chen & He 1997 ; Long & Belokobylskij 2004 ). The holotype status of NHMUK 010634938 was checked by van Achterberg in 1979. The published type depository was Berlin (‘Royal Berlin Zoological Museum’) ( Cameron 1910 ), but the specimen was acquired by NHMUK from Peter Cameron in 1914. It should probably be returned to Berlin.
