Etymology.
Species epithet is combined from the words “minutus” and “ului” and refers to the small size of this species, as compared with the closely related
L. ului
sp. nov.
Remarks.
Vercammen-Grandjean and Langston (1976)
also recorded this species from
Macaca nemestrina
(L.) in Selangor State, from
Niviventer cremoriventer
(Miller)
in Pahang State, and from
Rattus
sp.
in South
Vietnam
. Free larvae of this species were also collected in
Terengganu State
of
Malaysia
. All these materials were used by
Vercammen-Grandjean and Langston (1976)
for their measurements.
