Border of Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue , Hai Van Pass , near Da Nang], 17.IX.1923 , Poilane 8024 ( lecto- , P , first-step by Nguyen [1996: 67] ; P [ P05276429 ], second-step designated here ; isolecto- , P [ P06664610 ]!) . NOTES Lecomte (1930: 978) only cited Poilane from “ Annam : Col des Nuages, près de Tourane” as the original material. Nguyen (1996: 67) transferred this taxon to Diospyros with the new name D. haivanensis and cited Poilane (P) as the type. Two specimens of Poilane 8024 from the original locality have been located at P and the sheet P05276429 is designated here as the lectotype .
