Material examined (picture). BR , GO. Paratype : Formoso, 9.vi.1956 , F.S . T ., 1 female ( NHM ). Remarks. The species was described by Jewett (1960b) based on specimens from the region of Formoso and São João da Aliança, in the north of Goiás state. According to the author, the type series would be deposited in the National Museum of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, BR ( holotype ) and NHM (Natural History Museum, Los Angeles County), CA, USA ( paratypes ). However, the holotype is misplaced. Fortunately, a paratype was located in the NHM. The specimen is pinned female. Despite being well preserved and having a color pattern corresponding to the original description ( Jewett 1960b ), in the picture ( Fig. 5 ) the subgenital plate is a little collapsed, not allowing a deeper analysis. The morphology of this paratype needs to be carefully studied before checking the possibility of associating it with the specimens collected in the type locality in north Goiás state. Additionally, the fact that the paratype is female can hinder this process.
