Diagnosis.
Dorsal interfrontal setae absent. Tergites (especially tergite 2) bare or with small setae. Hind tibia lacking anterodorsal rows of enlarged setae. Mid and hind tarsal claws not bifurcate.
Additional shared characters of species treated herein: Frons usually parallelsided, with ten large setae in 2224 arrangement, lacking dorsal interfrontal setae; with or without small setae (setulae); with finely reticulate sculpturing (as in
Brown & Kung 2006
, fig. 52). Foretarsal claws symmetrical. Wing vein R

absent. Intersegment 7–8 usually with elongate, narrow, simple sclerite, although exceptions occur.
