Other published localities : Salman (1983) , Massa (1994), Tumbrinck (2006) , Ünal (2006) . Distribution : This species is represented in Cyprus , Turkey and Syria . The mainland part of the range covers the most southern part of Turkey ( Gaziantep and Hatay provinces) and nearby territories of Syria ( Latakia ). Remarks : The most important autapomorphies of Eupholidoptera cypria are the typical triangular and apically pointed lobes of female subgenital plate. Salman (1983) discovered a population possessing this typical characteristic in Turkey and described it as a different subspecies ( Eupholidoptera cypria turcica Salman, 1983: 328 ). During this study some specimens from Latakia , Syria showing characteristics of the Anatolian population were examined in NHM.
