New Ireland
: 1, 2.—General distribution: Cocos-Keeling Islands (eastern Indian Ocean) east to Marquesas and Tuamotu islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to northern
Australia
and Lord Howe Island. Found on sand-rubble bottoms of reef flats and in sheltered bays,
0–52 m
depth. Marine.
