Russell ). Distribution and habitat. New Ireland : 1, 2.—General distribution: Red Sea and East Africa east to Marshall and Tuamotu islands, north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to northern Australia . Found in coral reefs, 1–112 m depth. Marine. Remarks. This represents a new depth record, as the species was previously only recorded from depths of 1– 25 m depth.
