Ecology: —Rare (known from two collections); roadsides in humid montane forests; 2900 m . Notes: —Rhizomes long-creeping, with abundant red-brown hairs; blades narrowly deltate, to 15 cm wide, 3- pinnate; hairs abaxially restricted to the veins. The conspecificity of the Bolivian specimen with the type and others from Colombia is uncertain ( Smith et al . 1999 ) .
