Ecology: —Rare (4 collections known), terrestrial in montane forests; 200–1300 m . Notes: —Within the group of Adiantum raddianum ( Sundue et al . 2010 , Hirai et al . 2016 ), but distinguished by the rachises usually with dense indument of hairs or with just a few hairs to ca. 0.1 mm ; blades 2-or 3-forked and pedate at bases, 3-or 4-pinnate proximally and 2-pinnate distally; pinnules 2 times longer than wide, on both surfaces with glandular hairs, margins of sterile pinnules incised to lobate, serrate; indusia lunate to reniform or rounded, glabrous.
