Remarks.
The species is characterised by the unicolorous whitish elytra, long head with a largely elevated vertex, elevated medial lobe of pronotal disc and the flattened and shortened MT 2. Excepting of the shape of MT 2 being similar to males of
M
.
flavipennis
(Leconte, 1866)
, in which MT 2 is cylindrical and as long as MT 3.
Macrosiagon flavipennis
is widespread in the New World from the
U.S.A.
