Distribution: Balkan Peninsula, Asia Minor , Iran , Caucasus and Turkmenia (Kopetdag) ( Skorikov 1938 , Reinig 1974 ). Remarks: Habitats are mountain steppes and meadows. In Azerbaijan it is found in montane steppe meadows, montane steppes and subalpine meadows of the Lesser Caucasus ( Aliev 1984 ). In Talysh occurs in montane steppes. Nest above the ground. Food plants: Padus racemosa , Trifolium sp. , Eryngium campestre , E. nigromontanum , Senecio orientalis .
