The species was originally described by Th.
Deuve (1998)
as a subspecies of
J. microps
based on the only female specimen. However, the additional material with male specimens allowed this author to raise the taxonomic status of this taxon to the specific level.
We have no specimens of this taxon but, accordiung to the descriptions made by Th. Deuve, this species is easily distinguished from allied species by its more gracile habitus, smaller size, more pedunculate eyes and slender median lobe of the aedeagus (
Fig. 42
).
Distribution.
The species is known only from the
type
locality situated in the Jizu Shan Mountain Range NE of the Erhai Lake.
