Distribution.
Introduced. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Floreana (ICCDRS), Isabela,
San Cristóbal
(ICCDRS), Santa Cruz.
Remarks.
The first record of this family from the
Galápagos
dates from 1996, collected at the base of Sierra Negra, where it was absent during a collecting expedition in 1989. In 2001, adults of this species were very abundant around inhabited and agricultural zones of Santa Cruz, especially on dung.
