English : trumpet flower, yellow snake tree. Range. China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sikkim, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. Widespread in Myanmar. Use. Leaf , Flower , Root : Used as febrifuge. Note. In India the leaf is used for dyspepsia; the root for asthma, cough, and excessive thirst ( Jain and DeFilipps 1991 ).
