Perrotia
Oberthür, 1916
This is a Madagascan endemic genus of about 15 described species, including the synonymised genus
Miraja
(
Lees
et al
. 2003
)
; considering material collected to date, the radiation is probably at least twice this size (D.C. Lees pers. comm. 2013).
Perrotia albiplaga
was designated the
type
species by
Evans (1937)
.
Cock
et al
. (2014)
report that
P. paroechus
(Mabille)
is a palm feeder. Here we report on two species of the genus that feed on bamboos.
