Holotype male of the subspecies Limnophora riparia capoverdica Emden (1958: 11) in ZMUH (not seen). Diagnosis. Scutum dark brown, postpronotum and notopleuron with bluish-grey pollinosity; two reclinate orbitals; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with one posterior seta. Notes. This species is in the Calliophrys Kowarz group of Limnophora , and is one of the few Afrotropical Limnophora to have dichoptic males.
