Type locality: Cranberry Glades Natural Area, near Mill Point, Pocahontas Co., WEST VIRGINIA (male holotype and male paratype , MCZ ) and a marsh near Mill Point (female paratypes , MCZ ). New record: WEST VIRGINIA: Pocahontas Co .: Bolling Cave, 7 January 1972 , D. Culver, R. Baroody, m,f. This is another large, pigmented, epigean species with well-developed eyes (25 ocelli in each eyepatch). The type males were taken in a high elevation sphagnum bog (Cranberry Glades) well known for isolated records of otherwise boreal plants and animals.
