COMMENTS : Meinertzhagen listed the type in the Rothschild Collection, citing the above data. He did not say how many specimens he examined, although he gave measurements for more than one. Only one paratype came to AMNH with the Rothschild Collection: AMNH 592593, a male collected at Artuft on 1 November 1918 . A specimen in the Rothschild Collection (now AMNH 592594) from Mesopotamia was excluded from the type series.
