Robertsicus elaphensis ( Price, 1959 ) . Nearctic: 1) Mexico (north), 2) USA ( Keirans & Degenhardt 1985 , Kolonin 2009 , Guzmán-Cornejo et al. 2011 ). Earlier records of Robertsicus elaphensis were reported as Aponomma elaphense or elaphensis , and Amblyomma elaphense or elaphensis , but a new genus was erected for this species by Barker & Burger (2018) . Camicas et al. (1998) regarded this tick as present in the Nearctic and Neotropical Zoogeographic Regions , but no record from the Neotropics was found when compiling this analysis.
