Uroptychus brevis
was collected from
Bermuda
and from the Gulf of
Mexico
in depths of
878 to 1073 m
; this species has previously been reported in the Gulf of
Mexico
in depths from
677 to 1107 m

Chace 1942
). No ovigerous females were observed for this species. Only two males were found in the collections. One male was collected in January (CW
=
5.9 mm
) from
Bermuda
from a depth of
878 m
; one male was collected in March (CW
=
4.6 mm
) from the Gulf of
Mexico
from a depth of
1073 m
