North Atlantic. Known depth range 2 to 1600 m . Habitat. On sponges, octocorals, gorgonian corals Paragorgia arborea ( Linnaeus, 1758 ) , Primnoa resedaeformis ( Gunnerus, 1763 ) and hydroids. Remarks. Hoek (1883) also examined two specimens of O. stroemii obtained from Murray and collected at HMS “Triton” Stn 10 (Atlantic, Northeast; 943 m ). This material is not in the NHM collection.
