Specimens in collections: USNPC : 8116 (type), 45881 ( paratypes ), and 8117 . Remarks: Originally described as Diplodiscus intermedius and transferred to Megalodiscus by Harwood (1932) . Zamparo and Brooks (2005) considered that this species could be synonym of M . temperatus .
