Diagnosis : Minute red dots spread over the dorsal surface of carapace, a strong tubercle present on the postero lateral border of the carapace, little below the lateral epibranchial spine. Frontal lobe straight. Distribution : India : Andhra Pradseh (East Godavari), Odisha (Gopalpur coast) and West Bengal (Digha, Shankarpur). Elsewhere: Aden, Australia , Indonesia , Malaysia , New Guinea , Philippines , Red Sea and Singapore .
