This cosmopolitian species was first described from Israel . It is now widespread in the tropics as a minor pest of several cultivated fruits and ornamental plants ( Lima et al. 2020 ). In Saudi Arabia , it is a serious pest on the leaves of vitis vinifera . The species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Martin (1972) . Material studied. Al Jouf.
