, which has lateral leaves more acuminate, sporophylls narrower, and leaves thicker-textured, darker green. Differing from
S. popayanensis
, which has adaxial surfaces of lateral leaves hairy, and prostrate growth (vs. ascending habit). This species, like the next and
S. novae-hollandiae
, sometimes bears sobols near stem bases.
