In roots of Juncaceae ( Arnoldi 1965 ) . Notes. Probably misidentification by Nowicki (1858: 16 ; 1864: 38 ; 1865: 38 ) and some other authors of lists from central and north regions. Mazur & Kuśka (1994) pointed out that it is widespread in NW Ukraine , however, examination of the bulk material suggests these data refer to widely distributed S. striatopunctatus rather than S. abbreviatus .
