Remarks.
A group membership of
Tanytarsus takahashii
, based on morphology, was discussed by
Ekrem (2002)
who indicated several possible placements for this species (the
mendax
,
eminulus
or
lestagei
group). Later, molecular analyses supported the concept of the
lestagei
group as the place for
T. takahashii
(
Lin
et al.
2018b
)
. The species has been also compared with the fossil species
T. serafini
Giłka, 2010
, and suggested to belong to the
serafini
group (cf.
Giłka 2010
, pl. II, figs. 2–7 and
Fig. 7A–C
).
