The species was first described from
France
and subsequently recorded from several Mediterranian countries (
Mound 2018
) and
India
. It is distinguished from
E. subramanii
by: Longest veinal setae on fore wings with no longer than width of wing; anterior margin of pronotum with 8–10 irregularly spaced setae; metanotal CPS absent; anterior pair of CPS present on tergite IX; sternites without craspedum. In contrast
E. subramanii
has the fore wings with at least two distal setae rwice as long as the fore wing width; anterior margin of pronotum with around 16 setae placed equally distant from each other. CPS on metanotum present; anterior CPS on tergite IX absent (
