Diagnosis.
Carapace without lateral ridges, entirely rugose, without tubercles; eyelobe without spine. Maxilliped 3 carpus 2.0 width of merus. Telson 0.6 uropod peduncles, with 6 pairs of lateral setae.

Bathylamprops motasi
is most similar to
B. calmani
, but has six or fewer pairs of lateral setae on the telson, while
B. calmani
has at least eight pairs of lateral setae on the telson.
