Fridericia chica ( Bonpland 1808: 107 ) L.G. Lohmann in Lohmann & Taylor (2014: 434) ( Fig. 7 a ). Diagnosis:— Fridericia chica can be easily recognized by the reddish dry leaflets ( vs. green dry leaflets in other Fridericia species ). Reproductive Period:— Flowers were collected from October to March, fruiting in March and November. Distribution and Habitat:— It is broadly distributed throughout Central and South America ( Lohmann 2010 , Lohmann & Taylor 2014 ). Within the study area, it was registered in Céu Azul, Matelândia/Serranópolis do Iguaçu, Foz do Iguaçu, and in the PARNA Iguazú . Selected Specimens Examined:— ARGENTINA .
