Diagnosis.
The black coloration of the clypeus will distinguish the members of this species from others in the species-group.

: Head black; antenna brown, subapical region on last antennomere with yellow spot; pronotum with black macula; fore leg brown, meso- and metafemora yellow, tibiae brown, pterothorax and abdomen brown.

: Eyes as wide as frons (13:13); funicular antennomeres considerably expanded, 6
th
antennomere not acuminate (

Thorax
: Pronotum transverse (46:42), lateral tubercle prominent (

); asetiferous punctures prominent throughout elytral disc, epipleural fold very wide.
Abdomen
: Aedeagus not available.
Natural History.
The
type
was collected during October.
Distribution.
Known only from
Brazil

).
Etymology.
The specific epithet is derived from
apolegma
(= hem of a robe), a Greek noun, and refers to the widened epipleural fold.
