Distribution on Sumatra . Provinces of Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Jambi, Bengkulu, and Sumatera Selatan; also the islands of Nias and Simeulue ( De Rooij, 1915 ). Biology . The specimen was observed at 1100 hours during a clear weather. The lizard was chasing a spider on the branches of a short tree on the shore of the lake. Without being disturbed by the human presence, the lizard eventually seized and swallowed the spider.
