Taxonomic comments
. This species can be recognized by its very long tibia (651–667 ‰ of SVL), large webbing and distinctly enlarged toe tips.
Distribution on Sumatra
. Provinces of Aceh, Sumatera Utara; new for Sumatera Barat.
Biology
. A single adult and numerous tadpoles, some in metamorphosis phase, were observed at daytime in November. Specimens were found in a pond located at the edge of a forest in a marsh on the slopes of hills bordering the eastern shore of Lake Maninjau. The diurnal activity of youngs was also observed in this species in Bokeo Province (
Laos
) (Ohler, unpublished data).
