Female macroptera . Body pale brown to brown, head to thorax often barely paler than abdomen; antennal segment I shaded, II shaded with distal half yellow, III to IV yellow, V yellow with distal third slightly shaded, VI shaded with basal half pale, VII shaded; fore wings pale brown with basal fifth pale; all legs yellow. Head ( Fig. 27 ) rounded at cheeks. Ocellar setae III situated at margin of ocellar triangle. Postocular setae III the longest, II and IV smaller than remaining setae, III and V slightly behind setal row. Antennal segment ( Fig. 28 ) II with some microtrichial rows on dorsal surface, VI the longest. Pronotum ( Fig. 27 ) weakly sculptured with wide spaced transverse striae, with about 30 discal setae; posteroangular setae I almost as long as setae II and 0.5 times as long as pronotal median length; posteromarginal setae I the longest. Mesonotum without CPS anteromedially. Metascutum ( Fig. 29 ) with CPS. Fore wing first vein with seven basal and three distal setae, Mesothoracic endofurca with spinula very weak. Abdominal tergites VI and VII ( Fig. 30 ) with very small teeth at each side; tergite VIII ( Fig. 31 ) with posteromarginal comb complete; tergite IX with both anterior and posterior pairs of CPS; sternites without discal setae; sternite I without microsetae anteromedially. Comments . This species appears to be very similar to S. mucunae as discussed below.
