Imadaté (1989) stated that an additional pair of head setae were occasionally present, based on his examination of Javanese specimens. This phenomenon also was recorded for specimens from Nepal , Hong Kong , Taiwan , and Japan ( Imadaté 1989 ; Imadaté & So 1992 ; Nakamura 1997 , 2000 ). However, it was not recorded from Thai specimens ( Imadaté 1989 ). In this survey the specimens from mixed forest did not have the additional setae, whereas the setae were observed in specimens from evergreen forest and plantation. Distribution . Japan , Korea , China , Taiwan , Thailand , Malaya , Singapore , Borneo, Java, India , Nepal and Seychelles .
