(Tulear, Southwest Madagascar ) Remarks.—A ferruginous species with silvery pile on the abdomen. Females are larger than males (body length about 18 mm vs. 12 mm , wingspan about 44 mm vs. 35 mm ). The piceous marks in the mesonotal sigillae are reduced to the submedian sigillae, sometimes only the anterior of the submedian sigillae or missing, in this species. Jacobi (1917) differentiated his species by the wider hind wing and more strongly bent cubitus anterior vein. The smaller body size of this species can also distinguish it quickly from most other Trismarcha . Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar ( Metcalf 1963a ). Jacobi (1917) reported the species from Tulear in southwestern Madagascar .
