This species is distinctive by the large extent of white elytral pubescence ( Fig. 13 ) and mainly by the robust, apically expanded aedeagus ( Fig. 65 ). Length . 4.0– 4.6 mm . Type series . Kurosawa (1963a) described two subspecies: A. acastus tsushimanus and A. acastus nakanei , which are currently considered to be different species not belonging to the A. muscarius species-group. The name horni Kerremans, 1914 is a junior secondary homonym of horni Kerremans, 1900 ( Agrilus ) and horni Théry, 1904 ( Agrilus ) . Specimens examined . This species is known to us only from the type specimens. Distribution . Taiwan .
