OTHER REPORTED NAMES : Mercierella enigmatica Fauvel, 1923 . REMARKS : Subtropical alien species from Southern Australia ( Fauvel 1923b ; Zenetos et al. 2010 ), which probably invaded the Mediterranean Sea as ship fouling during the First World War ( Zibrowius 1992 ). In the Adriatic Sea it was recorded for the first time in the Venice Lagoon (NA) by Fauvel (1938) .
