Fanzideia cygnocerca
Xue, Verves & Du, 2011: 311
. Type locality:
China
,
Hainan
, Jianfengling.
Holotype
³ (ISNU) (not examined).
Distribution.
Oriental:
China
(
Hainan
).
Biology.
Unknown.
Remarks.
Known only from the
holotype
, which unfortunately was not available for loan and could not be examined. In their description of this species, Xue
et al.
’s (2011) only discussion of the phylogenetic affinities of this species was its assignment to their subtribe Boettcheriscina based on the “widened styli and a presence of 4 pairs of posterior
dc
[= postsutural dorsocentral setae]”, which would fit a large number of subgenera of
Sarcophaga
(
sensu lato
).
