Comments.
The phylogenetic relationships of this species are not yet well studied. It is not closely related to any species from the Gulf of
Guinea
Islands (
Jesus
et al.
2005b
). Based on some morphological traits,
Ceríaco

(2016)
tentatively suggested that this species could be related to
T. polytropis
and
T. makolowodei
