Paraphasma fasciatum , Redtenbacher, 1906: 116 ; Giglio-Tos, 1910: 10 ; Passerin d’Entrèves, 1981: 55 ; Zompro, 2004: 159 ; Otte & Brock, 2005: 251 ; Conle et al. , 2020: 126 ; Chiquetto-Machado & Cancello, 2021: 26–28 [ nomen dubium ]. Remarks. The type material of Paraphasma fasciatum is likely to be lost ( Brock et al . 2022 ). Only a brief and superficial description was presented by Gray (1835) and the collecting locality mentioned for the species is vague (“Brasiliâ” = Brazil ). For these reasons, the identity of P. fasciatum can only be clarified if the type is found and it is considered a nomen dubium [for more details, see Chiquetto-Machado & Cancello (2021) ].
