Pronotum strongly cordate, inflated in male; punctures large and deep; scales sparse, simple, suberect and recurved. Procoxae widely separated. Elytra with scales sparse, erect, narrow, straight but slightly recurved at apex, not plumose; posteroloteral area with series of three large punctures. Aedeagus as in Fig. 302 . Geographical distribution . México ( Hidalgo ). Natural history . Collected from berlese extraction of cloud forest leaf litter at elevations from 1375– 1525m . Derivation of specific name . Through his support of the Nature Discovery Fund at the Canadian Museum of Nature, this species is named after D. Vaughn Harbin of Ottawa, Ontario , Canada , as a gift from Robert Ramsay.
