Comments: As mentioned for Gelastocoris amazonensis and G. hungerfordi , the record cited as “Rio Branco” by Todd (1957b) , is located on RR or AM, northern Brazil . Nieser (1975) listed the occurrence of the species on BA, but it was not possible to trace where this record was originally published. Because Nieser (1975) has not examined material from this state, the record is not considered here.
