Philometridae
. Males much smaller than females (males of some species unknown). Body filiform, anterior and posterior ends rounded. Mouth with or without lips. Head and tail papillae present or absent. Oesophagus cylindrical, short, bulbous at anterior end. Oesophageal gland confined to wall of oesophagus. Males with spicules equal, or almost so, slender; gubernaculum present. Vulva of gravid worms atrophied. Uteri occupy most of body. Ovaries amphidelphic. Parasites of body cavity and tissues of fishes.
