Remark
.
Dubatolov
et al.
(2012b)
did not illustrate the vesica structure of
G. sinotibetica
. However, we dissected a few of topotypical males (collected in the same gorge as the type series) and all of them have the constant valva shape, the aedeagus size as well as the size and shape of spines in aedeagus vesica (
Figs 24, 25
) identical to those of the
holotype
(
Fig. 26
).
Diagnosis
. Forewing length is
17–18 mm
in males (17.5 mm in the
holotype
) and 18.5 mm in females. The species (
Figs 11, 12
) is similar externally to
G. mubupa
sp. n.
(
Figs 13, 14
) and
G. synnefo
sp. n.
(
Figs 15, 16
), but differs from
G. mubupa
sp. n.
by its slightly paler male hindwing and monotonous dark grey female hindwing (that of
G. mubupa
sp. n.
is whitish) and from
G. synnefo
sp. n.
by its slightly smaller size and pale yellow edge of forewing costa (that is bright yellow in
G. synnefo
sp. n.
). The male genital capsule of
G. sinotibetica
(
Figs 24–26
) is very similar to that of the externally dissimilar
G. longivesica
(
Figs 22, 23
), but the aedeagus of
G. sinotibetica
is conspicuously shorter and narrower, the vesica is ca. 2.5 times shorter than that of
G. longivesica
and lacks a subbasal diverticulum, the subbasal chamber of vesica is shorter and bearing the broader field of small cornuti, and the distal diverticulum bears conspicuously smaller spines. The female genitalia of
G. sinotibetica
(
Figs 35
) differ clearly from those of other related species (
Figs 32–34, 36–38
) by the very short ductus bursae and the left-positioned signum bursae.
Distribution
. The species is known from northwestern
Sichuan Province
of
China
only.
