. Diagnostic characters are the reduced frontal lamina that lacks a flat ventral surface, ventrally projecting beyond clypeus, antenna with four peduncular articles, antennula peduncle article 2 at right angles to article 1, maxilliped endite lacks coupling hooks and pleonite 5 with free lateral margin that are not overlapped by pleonite 4; the appendix masculina is inserted about halfway along the endopod mesial margin; the uropodal peduncle not produced along the mesial margin of the endopod.
