A planktonic species found only in autumn, relatively common in autumn lakes, also found in a single ditch (A11) and a single rice field (A27). Multiple ephippial females occurred in a single lake (A16). Taxon of unclear status, presumed to be pantropical, common in South regions of

.
C. rigaudi
Richard, 1884
, described from North
Vietnam
, is presumed to be a form of
C. cornuta
(

) but a future revision is needed.
