Romania : Rodna Mts, Ineu peak ( type locality) (Verhoeff 1899a). Diagnosis. The smallest and most deviating subspecies of M. projectum . Differs from the other two subspecies by the broad and enlarged posterior process of the opisthomere ( pp ) ( Figs 4a–b, 4d ) and the short, ridge-like anterior process ( ap ) ( Fig. 4d ). Solenomere processes ( asp and psp ) more or less equal in length. Body length and height: male: 23.8mm , ( 21–28mm according to Verhoeff 1907), 1.7mm ; females 29.9– 30.1mm , 2.5–2.7mm . Remarks. Rare, strict endemic, its status has been clarified by Lazányi & Korsós (2011).
