Openings of the repugnatorial glands small, lying on the suture between prozonite and metazonite, touching the suture distally, metazonital striation present. Preanal process strong and pointed. First male leg-pair forms a hook, second leg-pair with pads on the two penultimate leg-segments. Gonopods protruding, directed posteriorly; basis of gonopods hidden, though not in a really deep gonopod sinus. Promere almost as long as opisthomere. Opisthomere complex, bearing one or more processes. Flagellum well-developed, long and strong.” Type species: Megaphyllum projectum Verhoeff, 1894 ”.
